Model 1

Hybrid with DI and SVI

A. Course Implementation Description
SDIL Hybrid Courses draw from the pool of SDIL Mater teachers. The lead SDIL teacher works with partnering teachers to develop TPBL modules that emphasize the desired content area and partnering content area. Each week the lead SDIL Master Teacher moves between schools delivering the opening directives to the entire class from one of the participating schools. The other class or classes receive the directives virtually and are lead in exploration by the partnering teacher or para.

B. Partnering School Requirements
Partnering schools must align their schedules so the course runs simultaneously in all locations.
Partnering schools for hybrid courses must be participating SDIL schools.

C. Partnering Teacher or Facilitator Requirements
Participating schools must provide a teacher or para from a core content area (English, math, science, social studies) to partner with the SDIL Master Teacher.

D. Required Number of Enrolled Students
15 students minimum per course

Model 2

Synchronous Virtual Instruction (SVI Only)

A. Course Implementation Description
SDIL Hybrid Courses draw from the pool of SDIL Mater teachers. The lead SDIL teacher works with partnering teachers to develop TPBL modules that emphasize the desired content area and partnering content area. However, the lead SDIL Master Teacher does not visit the school except virtually. All other class or classes receive the directives virtually and are lead in exploration by the partnering teacher or para.

B. Partnering School Requirements
Partnering schools must align their schedules so the course runs simultaneously in all locations.
SVI courses must be participating SDIL schools.
C. Partnering Teacher or Facilitator Requirements
Participating schools must provide a teacher or para from a core content area (English, math, science, social studies) to partner with the SDIL Master Teacher.

D. Required Number of Enrolled Students
15 students minimum per course

Model 3

Asynchronous Virtual Instruction (AVI only)

A. Course Implementation Description
SDIL AVI offerings draw from a catalog of Thinkfinity™ course delivered through Straighter Line™, managed by DIAL. All participants receive the course directives virtually and are expected to complete coursework without guidance from a facilitator.

B. Partnering School Requirements
Partnering schools and students can arrange to take the course at any time.

C. Partnering Teacher or Facilitator Requirements
Participating schools must provide a para or facilitator for time students taking DIAL course or elect to have students take DIAL AVI courses during study hall.

D. Require Number of Enrolled Students
None
